I love sunsets
It could be: Foggy in the morning, Cloudy in the afternoon, A long day, but the night always comes. The night might still end up with the golden colors of sunset.
(note by the Ace that loves music: this is better read with Iseoluwa by Fireboy playing in the background).
Hey Frens, before we dig into it, pick between these two variations of the poem “Sunsets”.
A
I love sunsets. Most times, they remind me that endings can be beautiful too. It doesn't matter how the day begins, Or what happens during the day, The ending can still be beautiful It could be: Foggy in the morning, Cloudy in the afternoon, A long day, but the night always comes. The night might still end up with the golden colors of sunset.

I love sunsets; they remind me anew That even in endings, beauty breaks through. It doesn’t matter how the day starts, Or the burdens that weigh on our hearts. The morning could be foggy, The afternoon quite cloudy, But no matter how long the day may feel, The night will come, with its golden appeal.
I wrote the first version in a public bus sometimes last week when I saw how beautiful the sky looked before entering the bus. I was looking at it till I alighted, and the funny thing was that I didn’t plan to write about it. I was conversing with Laura at the time, and I just sent “I love sunsets 😭” to her unprovoked. Thankfully she is another lover of sunsets that I know, and the ink started flowing after that line.
It’s pretty straightforward so I won’t talk much, and I’ll instead share some sunsets pictures I’ve taken.
Wait, I remember something, I remember wishing I lived in a penthouse in one gorgeous skyscraper because I’d be able to capture sunsets anyhow. That or living in a beautiful beach house somewhere in Malibu, California where I’d watching the sun set over the ocean with its array of vibrant colours. Beautiful scenes.
Anyways, I just realized you could write about this theme using sunrise as well, something along the lines of “Joy comes in the morning”.
So, guys, the message here is that anything can end beautifully, you know, till the sun sets on our time here—it’s never too late for things to happen on a happy note. Oh, and I know they will.
Till next time frens,
Enjoy the sunset,
Ace.
